Custom centenary birthday card design

Special custom birthday card designed for 100th birthday

The brief: Create a very special 100 year birthday card featuring personal photos of every decade of the recipient's life along with photos of family and friends.

After hours of scanning hundreds of photos we selected the best ones and seperated the colour images from the monochrome. Working with antique gold frames we created the borders and layout and began inserting the images. The inside of the card featured a light coloured texture to allow the client to write in it. The card was then printed on thick gloss card with an additional page stapled inside to allow for more images to be used.

I knew that I wanted to use photographs to build a collage around the title "A Century of Memories", but your idea of merging them together into the ornate frames, and separating the monochrome from the modern' worked really well. Auntie Margaret received one hundred and forty cards, including one from H.M. the Queen, but she described ours as "absolutely fantastic."
