By now i'm sure you've gathered that After Hours Creative are a highly creative company, generally crazy about pretty colours, shapes, and well.. the moon.
After Hours Creative is run by Peter Saunders with the support of many family members and awesomely creative designers. Peter likes to make sure he knows and deals with as many clients as possible to ensure a personal service. It’s this friendly, helpful, hands-on approach that has lead to a high number of referrals and the reputation AHC has today.
Peter set up After Hours Creative in May 2009 after working in the printing industry and as a freelance graphic designer for several years. Unfortunately, setting up the company under his own name wasn’t really an option. With 19,200,000 results for "Peter Saunders" on Google, Peter decided using his own name would make it difficult to make a name for himself (huh?). Peter is also getting confused talking about himself in the third person and is going to stop.
So, with Peter Saunders Ltd ruled out the next logical step was to give the company a memorable name, one which would spike people’s curiosity (which has worked well, even the bank clerk asked what we did while I was paying cheques in, and then placed an order). The name also had to allow for imagery to be created to reinforce the brand. Working long hours as a freelancer, I had a reputation for being around in the evenings which suited my clients as they were busy running their businesses during the day. I have also always had an admiration for the stars in the night sky, casting their glow from inconceivable distances onto the world. The moon is also pretty important. It’s our biggest source of cheese. Without it, werewolves would forever be stuck as human beings, the earth would spin faster leading to days only being about 4 hours long and lunatics would need a new name. So it makes perfect sense that it would inspire a creative agency’s name!
